Ms. Strimaitis

About Me
My name is Jenifer Strimaitis. I began working at Sterling Community School in August 2003. In school, I go by Ms. Strimaitis, because although I am married, I elected to keep my maiden name. I have four children and live in Rhode Island.

For my undergraduate work, I studied French at the University of Rhode Island and spent three semesters at L'Universite d'Orleans, France. When I graduated, I began working at a school for children with autism in Massachusetts. I recieved my Master of Science in Education during this time from Simmons College.

I love watching children learn and grow. I hope that every student will acheive as much as they possibly can in order to be happy, healthy and independent. I work hard to individualize schedules, programs and instructional techniques to fit the unique needs of every student.

Being assigned to my caseload is a PPT decision and takes into consideration many facets of a child's learning, behavioral and social-emotional needs. I am thankful for all the wonderful students and families I have worked with thus far, and I look forward to meeting new students and families in the future!
